More information: The thirteenth studio album by Soft Machine features guitarist John Etheridge, who has been with the band over 50 years, Theo Travis, Fred Baker and new drummer Asaf Sirkis.
Special guests on the album include organist Pete Whittaker (Double Talk) and Soft Machine founding member Daevid Allen (Gong) on glorious glissando guitar (using a session recording from 2001).
The material embraces atmospheric improvisations, psychedelic free jazz, powerful jazz rock, hypnotic looped alto flutes, and fretless bass grooves. Adventurous and heartfelt music.
Whilst all four members of the band contribute compositions, the album's main composer is saxophonist, flautist and keyboard player Theo Travis, who wrote six of the album's thirteen tracks.
With cover image by artist Esra Kizir Gokcen and design by Carl Glover.
Double vinyl edition with an extra side of exclusive bonus material.
