More information: Pink Floyd’s visit to Japan in 1971 found the band playing festival dates and small venues, but it remained a successful jaunt which prompted the demand for a more intense tour in the country in 1972, while the band were on their legendary Dark Side tour. Beginning in March 1972, the tour was made up of a total of six nights during which they performed two shows each in the cities of Tokyo and Osaka, and a further one-a-piece in Kyoto and Sapporo.

Pink Floyd had started to perform music from their pending Dark Side Of The Moon album from January 1972, despite the record not coming out for another 14 months.

Floyd began their second tour of Japan on 6th March, with three Tokyo dates. Their set list once again included The Dark Side Of The Moon. The band began this tour with two shows at the Taiikukan in Tokyo on 6th and 7th March 1972, of which the first night there was recorded for live FM Radio Broadcast and transmitted across the country simultaneously.

It's that recording that is now available on this new CD release for the first time.

Note: Recording quality can vary on FM broadcast releases.
