More information: The ‘Wish You Were Here Tour’ (also referred to as the ‘North American Tour’) was Pink Floyd’s 1975 outing in support of their then-forthcoming 'Wish You Were Here album'. The tour was divided in two legs in the US, West Coast and East Coast, plus their gig in the UK at that year’s Knebworth Festival which concluded the tour.

The tour began on 8th April ’75 in Vancouver, Canada, and ended in North America on 28th July in Hamilton, Canada, with the final show on 5th July at Knebworth House, in the U.K. Although the first and final dates in North America were both performed in Canada, the vast majority of the concerts were played in the United States with just three dates in Canada and one in England.

Pink Floyd played five nights at the Los Angeles Sports Arena between 23rd and 27th April 1975, which became some of the best dates performed on the tour. Of these, their penultimate show there on 26th April was recorded live for FM radio broadcast.

As with the other dates on the tour, Pink Floyd played new cuts ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I-IX’ and ‘Have A Cigar’ from the upcoming album, plus early versions of ‘Sheep’ and ‘Dogs’, later to appear on their 1977 record Animals, under the early titles ‘Raving And Drooling’ and ‘You’ve Got To Be Crazy’, in the first half. The second half of the concert featured the complete Dark Side Of The Moon tracklist, plus ‘Echoes’ from Meddle. This tour was the final time Pink Floyd would perform Dark Side… and ‘Echoes’ with Roger Waters.

Now featured in full on this new 2CD set, Pink Floyd’s 26th April concert in L.A. is presented here for the first time.

Note: Recording quality can vary on FM broadcast releases.
