More information: Led by songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Bruce Soord, the band have built a devoted international following through decades of acclaimed recordings & extensive touring. Since founding The Pineapple Thief in 1999, Soord has guided the band through a remarkable catalogue of studio albums that have continually expanded their sonic horizons with each release.
Originally released in 2012, 'All The Wars' marked a significant creative milestone for the band. Showcasing a newfound confidence in both songwriting & production, the album combined The Pineapple Thief's trademark atmospheric rock with ambitious arrangements featuring a 22-piece string section and choir. As Soord reflected at the time, "no expense has been spared regarding the production of this record, but at its heart it's still a rock record. It's very heavy in parts and very delicate and beautiful in others".
The album artwork features striking imagery from award-winning photographer Mark Mawson's celebrated Aqueous series. Mawson's work gained worldwide attention when it was projected onto Buckingham Palace during Paul McCartney's performance of 'Magical Mystery Tour' as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Now, in 2026, this is a new CD digipack edition, featuring a new remix completed by Bruce Soord in 2025. Previously exclusive to the sold-out 'Retracing Our Steps' Earbook, the 2025 remix is now available for the first time as a standalone release. Revisiting the original recordings with fresh perspective and modern production techniques, Soord's new mix reveals greater depth, clarity and dynamics within one of The Pineapple Thief's most beloved albums.
