More information: Born in Portsmouth, England, Roger Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 alongside Rick Davies, helping to shape the band's unique blend of progressive rock and melodic pop. As the writer and singer behind many of Supertramp's most enduring classics, including "Dreamer", "Give a Little Bit", "The Logical Song", "Breakfast in America" and "Take the Long Way Home", Hodgson's unmistakable voice and gift for memorable songwriting propelled the group to worldwide fame
throughout the 1970s and early 1980s.

Following his departure from Supertramp in 1983, Hodgson embarked on a successful solo career, beginning with the acclaimed album In the Eye of the Storm (1984). Subsequent releases showcased the same melodic sophistication and emotional depth that had made him one of rock's most respected songwriters. He released his sophomore album, Hai Hai (1987), before taking an extended hiatus from recording and touring. Hodgson returned to the stage with his first live performances in almost a decade in 1996, before undertaking more extensive tours of Canada and Europe in 1997, much to the delight of his fans.

Recorded for a live radio broadcast at Radio Campus in Paris, France, on 27 April 1997, the performance presented on this disc captures Roger Hodgson in an intimate and engaging setting before an enthusiastic French audience during his European tour. Stripped back yet deeply expressive, the concert features stunning renditions of beloved Supertramp favourites alongside highlights from his solo repertoire. The warmth of the occasion and Hodgson's effortless connection with the audience make this a particularly memorable document of a remarkable performer at work.
