More information: Released in June 1986, Invisible Touch marked the commercial peak of Genesis' career. While retaining the sophisticated
songwriting and musicianship that had long defined the band, the album embraced a brighter, more contemporary sound built around shimmering synthesisers, electronic textures and polished production. It yielded an extraordinary run of international hit singles and introduced Genesis to an even wider global audience.
To support the album, Genesis embarked upon the monumental Invisible Touch Tour, performing 112 concerts across North
America, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand between September 1986 and July 1987.
Captured at Osaka-jou Hall on 18 March 1987, the the band deliver a near-flawless performance, balancing the stadium-sized anthems of their contemporary catalogue with classic material from earlier eras.
