While the story of 'Personal Effects' was set in a dark urban and futuristic setting, the new songs are connected by a different theme. They are about things that haunt us, things that cannot fully be grasped, things we carry with us, emotions that echo from former times. The band conveys this with a slight change in their music and in the atmosphere that is created. Although the cinematic approach is still there, the music is enhanced by the increased use of guitar. Furthermore there is now an even larger variety of stylistic influences such as jazz or even heavy metal. Another highlight are the new hauntingly beautiful yet adventurous violin solos, 70ies style flute parts and intriguing electric harp sections.

On the 20/04/2011, at Wyspianski Theatre in Katowice, Poland, Strawberry Fields presented their very own, unique, subtly simple brand of Prog. Szadkowski and Robin were accompanied on stage by the former’s fellow musicians from the band Satellite and together they performed songs from Strawberry Fields’ debut album “River’s Gone Dry” as well as one previously unreleased song. Also, the band surprised the audience by playing new versions of two memorable songs from Satellite’s repertoire – “Don’t Walk Away in Silence” and “Is It Over” – and also a classic Collage song “Living in the Moonlight”.
