Track Listing: 01 Premonition (4:10) / 02 Nocturnal conspiracy (13:08) / 03 Insomnia (6:06) / 04 The mind's eye (4:05) / 05 Portals (5:27) / 06 Shapeshifter (8:08) / 07 Deathless (8:04) / 08 Visions (22:25)
Review: In their brief existence, Haken are already highly respected within the British metal community, and their unique and imaginative genre-bending approach to music has garnered praise from all corners of the globe. Hakens debut Aquarius was well-received by world wide media including Classic Rock Presents Prog, Outburn, Decibel, Progression as well as webzines. Their new release, Visions is yet another conceptual work encompassing sci-fi themes. Haken seamlessly meld metal with progressive rock, drawing influences from contemporary bands like Dream Theater as well as old school icons Genesis and Queen. Often bombastic and over the top, Visions features the addition of a string section and audiophile production from Spacelab Studios in Germany. During the past year, the band has toured extensively in Europe highlighted by an appearance in Germany at the prestigious Night Of The Prog festival in support of Dream Theater. The band made its US debut at ProgPower USA in September 2011.

A Way Out / 6. Traintime / 7. Modern
Review: Live archive release from the Van Der Graaf Generator leader. This Berlin concert took place at The Passionkirche in Berlin in April 1992. For many of Peter Hammill's long time fans, this performance holds a special place and bootleg copies have traded between fans for many years. The jewel for many fans is the 'Usher Suite', although here in a stark solo performance where Peter alternates between piano and occasionally guitar. Hammill performs a number of songs from his long solo career drawing on material from previous albums. Peter also revisits the Van Der Graaf Generator song 'My Room', which originally featured on the 'Still Life' album. This CD has been reformatted by Peter Hammill to reflect the true running order of the actual concert.

Review: Kate Bush sang with him. Led Zeppelin sang about him. Pink Floyd once asked him to sing lead. Fleet Foxes and Joanna Newsom adore him. And now Roy Harper has come up with a new compilation. Compiled by Roy himself 'Songs Of Love And Loss' is a 2 CD collection of the talented lyricist, vocalist and guitarist's most celebrated love and lament songs.
The album comes with a 20 page booklet including rare photos, lyrics and a commentary by Roy on each song. "My love songs are often hidden by the more epic things I attempt", comments Roy, "It's been a long time ambition of mine to gather a dynamic mix of them together in just their own context. It was a rewarding labour of love for me! Hope you enjoy it" . Includes 23 tracks from 11 different albums from Sophisticated Beggar in 1966 to Death Or Glory in 1992.

Review: Hawkwind At The BBC 1972 captures the band just after the surprise of the UK no. 3 hit single in July with the classic Silver Machine, and before their live experience Space Ritual which was recorded on tour later in the year.
Whilst the bulk of this double CD release is made up of the live set recorded for the BBC In Concert programme, it opens with a previously unreleased session recorded for Johnnie Walker featuring a shortened version of the Doremi Fasol Latido album classic Brainstorm and a version of the then hit single Silver Machine, featuring Lemmy on vocals as per the single.
The In Concert itself, a hypnotic continuous performance, is presented in both mono and stereo versions. The mono version was previously released by Windsong on CD in 1991 and has been remastered and re-indexed to include all of the pieces originally performed, and the concert itself in its entirety.
The stereo version has long been in the domain of the bootleggers as an off-air recording known the as "Broadcast" version. This mix was in fact distributed by the BBC for broadcast internationally and features an edited Brainstorm, missing approximately 4 minutes from the front of the song, a shorter Welcome To The Future and Electronic No. 1 (not indexed on the previous CD release), but longer a Countdown introduction. Officially released for the first time, apart from being in stereo, the sound quality is superior to the mono version and the mix is generally more exciting.
Whilst the CD racks and on-line listings are full of unofficial and poor Hawkwind live recordings, this set is a prime chunk of space rock from the band at the peak of their powers and is an essential addition to the band's huge discography.

Review: New UK remastered CD release for this classic live album from 1979 by the innovative new wave hippies & associates of the Planet Gong. Following their partnership with Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth in PLANET GONG, the group recorded their debut album for Charly Records. Embraced by DJ John Peel, HERE & NOW found favour with both the emerging Punk audience as well as a more traditional Hippy and Underground following. The release of 'Give And Take' led to the band undertaking a series of live dates which were recorded for this live album issued in 1979, perfectly capturing the mood of Britain in the late 1970s. This reissue also includes both sides of the bands rare 1979 single as bonus tracks.

The music is true to the great bands including Camel, Genesis, Pendragon, Focus, Saga, Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep and a number of others!

Holding PatternMany reports say that Holding Pattern was mainly a vehicle for guitarist Tony Spada. Although the same musicians appear on both releases, there have been many different musicians playing under the band's banner. Tony is the only constant. The first release was the self-titled 1981 EP. These songs, along with other tracks recorded over the years, were re-released as the 1991 album "Majestic."
Tony Spada is a talented guitarist, and knows the art of subtlety. He has sited Yes, Happy the Man, Dixie dregs, and Steve Hackett as influences. Along with Holding Pattern, he has also released two solo albums. Ever the working musician, his resume also includes playing live gigs with Kansas, Steve Morse, Rick Wakeman, and Steve Howe. Review: This is Howevers second recording, originally released on LP in 1984 and now extensively reworked and remastered for CD, including many previously unreleased tracks. However integrate influences of the English Canterbury scene (Hatfield & The North, Caravan), King Crimson, Gentle Giant and Henry Cow to create American progressive rock with its heart in Europe. Sudden tempo and time signature changes, very imaginative writing and inspired playing, and more vocals and song-form structures than on their debut. Kit Watkins of Happy The Man guests.
