A Place To review Your Soul (I. Confession II. A Broken Man III. Flaming Row IV. On The Run V. A World Of Make Believe)
Review: FLAMING ROW is an international band project formed by the German musician Martin Schnella (Steel Protector, Cast In Silence) in 2008. His original idea was to create a concept album with many different musicians, especially singers, female and male. Schnella wrote a lot of music for FLAMING ROW and put it together to complete songs. Because of his big influence of different styles of music, FLAMING ROW does not represent just one genre. So there is a mixture of prog metal/rock, mainstream rock, metal and powerful ballads inside FLAMING ROW.
To complete the idea, Schnella asked his dear friend Kiri Geile (Steel Protector) to join the band. Kiris task was to write a story for the concept. Within some months both completed the story Elinoire, a drama about a young British family, together and wrote lyrics for the different characters in the story.
The recording sessions started in late 2008. Almost all of the music was recorded until the end of 2009. A lot of friends and local musicians supported Geile and Schnella by joining the band. Also to the core team of FLAMING ROW belong drummer Niklas Kahl (My Inner Burning, Cast In Silence) and keyboard/sax player Marek Arnold (Toxic Smile, Seven Steps To The Green Door, Stern Combo Meissen). Schnella played guitars, most bass guitars, some keyboards and contributed lead and backing vocals.
In late 2010 he got in contact with Gary Wehrkamp and Brendt Allman from the American progressive-metal band SHADOW GALLERY and asked them to join [in] with some additional guitar/keyboard solos. Both liked the music and became a big part of FLAMING ROW. Wehrkamp also did a lot of lead vocals and took part as one of the characters. Together with Brendt Allman he added many backing vocals. Billy Sherwood (Circa, Yoso, Ex-Yes) also provided some lead and backing vocals.
The German guitar player Ali Neander (founding member of the RODGAU MONOTONES, session guitar player for Xavier Naidoo, Sabrina Setlur
) added some guitar solos, too.
To take over the last free character-role Jimmy Keegan, who is the tour drummer/backing singer for SPOCKS BEARD (also Kenny Loggins, Santana
), joined FLAMING ROW and did some vocals.

![[CD] FORGOTTEN SUNS - Innergy](cover-dummy.jpg) [New : M/M] Cat No: PRR710 Released: 22/06/2009 Reference: 15553
Track Listing: 1. Flashback / 2. Racing The Hours / 3. News / 4. Doppelgänger / 5. An Outer Body Experience / 6. Outside In / 7. Nanoworld / 8. Mind Over Matter
Review: Forgotten Suns - a short biography: Hailing from Portugal, Forgotten Suns burst on to the scene in 2000 with their debut release, which lead to their follow up 4 years later. Those albums revealed the strong influence of their musical roots mostly based in symphonic rock groups like Pink Floyd, Marillion or Rush and were albums that were written without having a full time drummer in the same room, so the songs naturally became less complex and more light which were perfect for the singing of ex-singer Linx. During this period the band shared the stage and did openings with Pain of Salvation, Flower Kings and Fish. Since that time the band has gone through a number of member changes and growth in their songwriting and musicianship, which leads to their latest opus "Innergy".
Innergy is the juxtaposition of words 'inner' and 'energy'. This was the best way to describe the nature of this album; it's like having eight big stories aligned together but separated on their intricate concepts just linked by the same inner soul and sharing the same driven energy that we used to brought them to life. This is truly the best progressive piece the band has done to date, it will not be easy to overcome tracks like 'News', 'Outside In' or 'Nanoworld' on future albums all tracks have the hooks for the most demanding progressive rock & metal fans with dense song writing - which is already a Forgotten Suns trademark - intricate polyrhythmic passages, deep lyrics, great singing and roaring solos on all instruments. Heres what reviewers are saying:
...While I was sad when I heard Linx was gone, I was really impressed with what the band did and how well Nio did with the vocals, powerful, catchy tunes, dont miss it...
...This album just smacked me in the face with surprise, I wasnt sure what to expect, but this was just simply amazing, if you like strong, adventurous tunes, this is for you

![[CD] FRAMEPICTURES - Remember It](cover-framepictures-rememberit.jpg) Note: Debut CD inspired by Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Thom Yorke and Steven Wilson [New : M/M] Cat No: PRR770 Released: 14/06/2010 Reference: 15791
Track Listing: 1. Memories Faded Away [8:57] / 2. Remember It [5:35] / 3. Call For Me [13:37] / 4. Don't Trust My Eyes [6:48] / 5. Why Nobody Cares [7:21] / 6. Shadows Black And Grey [9:49] / 7. My Will To Live [25:58]
Review: 'Remember It' is a seven song album that expresses musically the plunge into the deepness of the subconscious human mind. Through 78 minutes, FramePictures display this point of view through a series of complex arrangements and long 'virtuoso' guitar and keyboard solos mixed with the simplicity and straight forward songwriting, adding odd time signatures and tempo changes. 'Remember It' is more a re-interpretation of the progressive rock genre than a re-invention of it.
The debut album of the Portuguese band is influenced by musicians such as Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Thom Yorke and Steven Wilson. Varying from the most aggressive up-tempo guitar riffs to the intimate warmth of the grand piano, 'Remember It' is stretching from left to right of the rock repertoire, including the 25 minutes conceptual seven-part epic song 'My Will to Live'.

Review: Second album from the critically acclaimed German Alternative/Prog newcomers. Complex songs full of little details make a rich, unique sound that grows and grows and is quintessentially Frames - totally instrumental and just outside the mainstream. Instrumental alternative/prog in the likes of Mogwai & Long Distance Calling.

Note: Debut album from talented Swedish artist mixing Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree with Muse & Queen! [New : M/M] Released: 13/09/2011 Reference: 16228
Review: FreddeGredde comes from Gävle, Sweden. The young artist initially rose to prominence in the early days of viral video revolution where his great musicianship gained attention on you tube and generated millions of views on some of his most popular videos. Larssons YouTube channel quickly became the number one subscribed channel in Sweden.
It took almost two years for Larsson to execute his lifelong dream of recording and releasing his debut album. Not only has the artist managed to make a clear statement of intent but there is also a clear tendency towards fusing the worlds of rock and pop music. Mixing influences from Dream Theatre and Porcupine Tree with the more commercial bands such as Muse, Jellyfish and Queen.

Review: For 5 years the 7 musicians around founding member and keyboardist Andreas Hack have produced some great Prog music. Their thematically linked debut albums "Personal Effects 1" and "Personal Effects 2", as well as the follow up "Ghosts" have been thrilling the fans of atmospheric Prog, and coined the term of "Cinematic Prog" as the band's style.

Track Listing: 1. Crows / 2. Dreams / 3. Sadness / 4. Tempest / 5. Ringshine / 6. Dance No More / 7. Mermaid / 8. Come
Review: While the story of 'Personal Effects' was set in a dark urban and futuristic setting, the new songs are connected by a different theme. They are about things that haunt us, things that cannot fully be grasped, things we carry with us, emotions that echo from former times. The band conveys this with a slight change in their music and in the atmosphere that is created. Although the cinematic approach is still there, the music is enhanced by the increased use of guitar. Furthermore there is now an even larger variety of stylistic influences such as jazz or even heavy metal. Another highlight are the new hauntingly beautiful yet adventurous violin solos, 70ies style flute parts and intriguing electric harp sections.
