Review: Richard Barbieri ‘s amazing musical career has spanned four decades, taking him from the seminal recordings he made with Japan in the seventies right through to the current worldwide success he is enjoying with Porcupine Tree. Stranger Inside is his second solo album. Barbieri wrote and produced the album himself but is assisted by a host of familiar faces from throughout his career. Steve Jansen (Japan, Nine Horses) mixed and co arranged the album, it was mastered by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and features guest musician appearances from Gavin Harrison (PT) and the legendary double bass player Danny Thompson, whose incredible CV includes Pentangle, Nick Drake, T Rex, Kate Bush, John Martyn and many, many more. In addition to this nearly all tracks, though instrumental in nature, feature the sampled voices of Tim Bowness (No Man) and Suzanne Barbieri. To complete the package the artwork and design has been created by Carl Glover and Luigi Colasanti (both longtime PT collaborators) .

Review: Third album from Polish prog band Believe is possibly their best so far. Believe is led by former Collage/Satellite guitarist Mirek Gil and create a modern sound, moving the band more in the direction of bands like Riverside. One of the key elements of the band is the use of violin and flute, adding a classical dimension alongside Gil's Gilmour-esque guitar lines. This CD features a great new vocalist from the first two CD's called Karol Wróblewski, whose voice really compliments the sound of Believe.

Review: English Boy Wonders released as a digipack with a 12 page booklet featuring new artwork from Jim Trainer. The CD is almost 80 minutes long and contains a bonus track which was recorded at the time of the original sessions but has been previously unavailable. The bonus track features the keyboard work of Martin Orford.

English Boy Wonders was previously released in a semi-complete state on the GEP label in 1997 and has been unavailable for many years. For the 2008 re-release, we have returned to the original master tapes and have re-recorded much of the album. Additional sections of music have also been recorded to complete the album as it was originally intended. The album has been entirely remixed and remastered by Rob Aubrey (IQ, Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Pendragon etc.)

Review: The Black Noodle Project are a French prog band formed in 2001. The debut CD 'And Life Goes On' was heavily influenced by the work of Pink Floyd, being both atmospheric and dynamic, and filled with piano and guitar solos. The band's second CD 'Play Again' in 2006 goes one step beyond and is full of intense atmosphere and melody. The Floydian influences are still present, but more discrete, through a sense of slowness, a sort of "quiet despair" and melancholy. With worked-out arrangements and sound effects, the band keeps the balance between heavy riffs, delicate guitar arpeggios or piano parts, airy keyboards and great, expressive vocals in English. Although sometimes near the sound of Porcupine Tree, The Black Noodle Project has its own identity.

Review: Over the past few years Steven Wilson’s Porcupine Tree have made the transition from a solo project to genuine international stars with their latest album ‘Fear Of A Blank Planet’ selling over 125,000 worldwide. Aviv Geffen is Israel’s leading counter culture rock musician. Review: Dec Burke is a UK based guitarist/vocalist who has previously written recorded and performed with Frost* and Darwin’s Radio. He has also toured with Spock’s Beard and Dream Theater. Performing on two different occasions with both Frost* and Darwin's Radio at the RosFest festival in Philadelphia. After leaving Darwin's Radio in late 2009, Dec embarked on this new solo project 'Destroy All Monsters' that is more of a pop take on the prog genre. Dec is currently rehearsing a live band that is already booking gigs.
