Also features Paul Brown on bass, Dave Wagstaffe (Landmarq) on drums, and Ian Salmon (Arena, Shadowland) on guitar. This is a hard to find album at a great price! Highly recommended for lovers of neo Prog.

Review: Stand Up was Jethro Tull’s second album, originally released in 1969. This release includes the CD + DVD of the 1970 Carnegie Hall concert, a benefit show for a drug rehabilitation centre in New York City. It was a typical raucous Tull affair, drawing heavily on the Stand Up material as well as presenting a few new songs from Benefit. John Evan had joined the band by then and his Classical piano training is amply demonstrated in this live concert. In 2001 Stand Up was remastered and this version of the album uses that remaster for the original part of the album on CD 1. In this Collectors’ Edition, the John Peel Top Gear sessions as well as 2 US radio spots have been added to the first disc. The second CD contains an edited version of the Live at Carnegie Hall concert. The DVD contains the Live at Carnegie Hall concert, but completely unedited and in 5.1 surround sound (audio only), as well as a brand new interview with Jethro Tull. The original LP release also featured a pop-up element to the gatefold, which has been reinstated for the first time in this Collectors Edition.
